Enjoy the Festivities at Vinopolis this Christmas
Christmas begins on 1st December at Vinopolis with a spectrum of Ports & delicious Stichelton cheese. Port and Stilton go together like ‘Fred & Ginger’ or ‘French & Saunders.’ You’d think that you couldn’t have a Christmas without them. A festive favourite in UK, many a household will be buying a bottle of Port to have for their Christmas lunch. However with four different kinds of Port now available, it can be hard to know which ones will work best at a party. Vinopolis has the answer to this conundrum and is allowing visitors to the tour to try them all! From 1st -20th December visitors to the self-guided Vinopolis tour taste a full spectrum of delicious ports ranging from the new pink Port (Croft Pink Port) to the more traditional tawny, red and white Ports (Taylor’s 10 Year Old Tawny Port, Fonseca LBV 2000 Port, Fonseca Guimareans 1988 and Taylors Chip Dry white Port), tasting them along with the scrumptious Neal’s Yard Stichelton cheese. Stichelton is the new cheese from Neal’s Yard Dairy and reputed to be made from the original Stilton recipe. Using unpasteurised milk, it is even creamier and more delicious than Stilton.
Available as an upgrade on the day of visit. Either purchase a ticket at the ticket desk or the Port & Stichelton table in the tour. £5 for 5 port tastings and portion of Stichelton cheese.
