What's in the Vinopolis wine tour?

The Vinopolis self guided tour consists of several elements, each is explained below. All the elements are available in our 4 superb ticket packages. See which one is best for you.

Wine Tasting Vouchers
Wine tasting vouchers are available in sets of 5 and can be exchanged at the various wine tasting tables throughout the tour for a sample of your chosen wine. There are over 130 wines to choose from and our expert wine guides behind each tasting table ready to assist you. All Tour packages have a minimum of 5 regular wine tasting vouchers included. An additional 5 tasting tokens can be purchased for £4.00.

Premium Wines
The premium wine table gives you a chance to sample a wide variety of wines beyond those usually available on supermarket shelves. Tastings are included in the Vineyard & Celebration packages and upgrades can be purchased at £2.50 for 1 tasting or £8.00 for 4 tastings.

How to Taste Wine
A 15 minute wine experience during which one of our qualified wine professionals demonstrates how to truly appreciate wine and its associated pleasures using all of your senses. This session is included in all tour packages. This session takes place every ½ an hour, with the first session taking place 30 minutes after opening and the last session one and a half hours before closing.

Champagne Bar
The Champagne bar is a new addition to the Vinopolis wine tour and gives everyone the opportunity to sample a selection of fine Champagnes. Tastings are included in the Celebration tour or can be purchased as an upgrade for £5.00 for 2 tastings.

Bombay Sapphire Blue Room
All visitors to the Vinopolis tour get to sample an exclusive gin based cocktail in the Bombay Sapphire Blue Room. One cocktail is included in all tour packages.

Beer Tasting
Sample our very own home brewed beer or locally brewed beer from the Greenwich based Meantime brewery.  Beer samples are included in the Spirit of Vinopolis package and can be purchased for £1 for 2 tastings.

Absinthe Tasting
Sample different types of absinthe and unravel the myths of this infamous green drink. Tastings are included in the Spirit of Vinopolis package and upgrades are available for £2.00 for 2 tastings of absinthe.

The Still Room
A chance to sample up to three different Scotch Whiskies whilst learning more about single malts and blends in the relaxed environment of the Still Room. Tastings are included in the Spirit of Vinopolis package and upgrades can be purchased for £3.00 for 3 tastings.

The Authentic Caribbean Rum Experience
Sample a range of authentic Caribbean rums in this unique experience, which offers visitors the chance to learn more about the history and provenance of rum. Tastings are included in the Celebration and Spirit of Vinopolis tour, and upgrades can be purchased for £3.50 for 3 tastings.

Brindisa at Vinopolis
Vinopolis now have a  permanent tapas feature on the Wine Tour in partnership with Spanish food retailer Brindisa.  Winner of the 'Best Retail Food Outlet' in the Observer Monthly Food Awards, Brindisa have shops in both nearby Borough market and Exmouth market. Options include Serrano ham, mild chorizo, piquillos peppers and manzanilla olives.  Individual items can be purchased on the tour from as little as £1.  Platters start at £5.50.

The Blind Wine Challenge
The Blind Wine Challenge lets you have a go at answering questions on five wines which are tasted blind. Why not have a go at telling a Chardonnay from a Riesling using all the knowledge gained during the Vinopolis tour and win a prize up to the value of £250!
